INTERNAL SALES (Roofing & Cladding)

Full job description:

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our roofing & cladding internal sales team here at Foregale.

Foregale is a family run company and is a leading manufacturer for the roofing and reinforcement industry with over 40 years of trading.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and thrive under pressure in a busy environment. They will be open to learning a wide range of new skills, have a logical approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail.

Job responsibilities & Duties:

Reporting to the Sales manager you will be responsible for working in the sales team to generate sales from new and existing customers. Your goal is to help Foregale grow.

Serving customers at our trade counter with our roofing products.

Order processing including handling the processing of sales quotations and customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Answering calls and responding promptly and efficiently, working with colleagues as necessary.

Assisting and liaising with the sales team to help improve team productivity.

Helping to maintain the OrderBook computer system including keeping all files and paper-work up to date to further assist sales.

Establish productive and professional relationships with customers.

Help out in the yard with loading customer’s vehicle/unloading deliveries in busy periods (Forklift licence would be advantageous).

Stock taking.

Learning and maintaining an in-depth understanding of Foregale’s products.

Other Duties:

As required at direction of your line manager.

Job requirements:

Excellent IT skills to enable confident use of the bespoke in house OrderBook and Opera systems after training, as well as a good understanding of general Microsoft systems such as Excel and Word.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with customers and the Foregale staff team.

A professional manner and the commitment to maintain Foregale’s high standards of service and the delivery of a quality product.

A basic knowledge of roofing & cladding.

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT (With Health & Safety Admin)

Full job description:

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

· Using the Opera SE Accounting System to maintain customer/supplier accounts

· Purchase Ledger : purchase ledger payments, inputting purchase invoices, closing off purchase ledger

· Sales ledger - S/L close off and invoicing. Sending invoices and statements out via email/post

· Dealing with customer/supplier account queries

· Creating, preparing and reconciling supplier monthly payment runs/statements

· Provide support to the accounts team in relation to customer account payments, including telephone calls to clients to chase payment.

· Processing new supplier credit applications and setting up new supplier accounts

· Processing BACS payments

· Operate the company switchboard and direct incoming calls effectively and efficiently with warmth and professionalism.

· To provide assistance and support with general office duties and housekeeping.

· To provide administration support to the external Health and Safety Advisors.

· Publishing and maintaining of health & safety documentation as recommended by external H&S advisor.

· Hold annual meeting with Health & Safety advisor.

Health & Safety role includes:

- Weekly fire alarm test

- Emergency lighting test

- Legionella testing

- Making sure that everything gets booked in for things such as pat testing, fixed wire testing, machine visits etc

- Collecting and issuing machine checks and forklift checks weekly

- Weekly racking checks

- Weekly fire extinguishers checks

- Liaising with contractors to book in dates for works to be done.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate for the position of Accounts assistant / Health & Safety admin will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with keen attention to detail.

· Excellent time management / organisational skills.

· Good team player and independent worker.

· Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality in interpersonal interaction.

· Must exhibit a commitment to continuous personal learning.

· Passionate about delivering a quality service.

· Previous switchboard experience desired.

WAREHOUSE MACHINE / YARD OPERATIVE - ROOFING & CLADDING DEPARTMENT (LIVERSEDGE SITE WF15)

  • This role includes working on modern sheet metal forming machinery including roll formers, folders, guillotines and press brakes amongst others, as well as undertaking general warehouse and yard duties which includes loading/unloading of customers/suppliers and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • Previous experience in the role would be preferable though not essential.
  • The successful candidate would need to be motivated, eager to learn and be a team player!
  • Good time keeping is an absolute must!
  • An FLT counter balance license is required.
  • Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

WAREHOUSE MACHINE / YARD OPERATIVE - REINFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT (LIVERSEDGE SITE WF15)

  • This role includes working on bar cutting and bending machines including automated computer programmed machines. As well as working on the machines you would also be undertaking general warehouse and yard duties which includes loading/unloading of customers/suppliers and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • The successful candidate would need to be motivated, eager to learn and be a team player!
  • Good time keeping is an absolute must!
    Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
