Sales & Operations Manager (Reinforcement)

Job Title: Sales & Operations Manager (Reinforcement)


Location: Liversedge, West Yorkshire


Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm


Salary: Competitive salary (Negotiable depending on experience)


About the Role:

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Sales & Operations manager to join our team. Foregale is a family run company and is a leading manufacturer for the roofing and reinforcement industry with over 40 years of trading. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and thrive under pressure in a busy environment. They will be open to learning a wide range of new skills, have a logical approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the directors, you will be responsible for managing the steel reinforcement sales team to generate sales from new and existing customers whilst keeping all daily operations running smoothly. Your goal is to help Foregale grow.

  • Order processing including handling the processing of sales quotations and customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Answering calls and responding promptly and efficiently, relaying relevant information to colleagues as necessary.

  • Assisting and liaising with the sales/production team to help improve their productivity and efficiency.

  • Overseeing the bespoke steelform computer software system and ensuring that it is kept up to date by the team.

  • Taking ownership responsibilities in the ongoing CARES accreditation regulations for steel reinforcement which are critical to the department.

  • Supportive and communicative role with the sales team.

  • Establish productive and professional relationships with customers.

  • Learning and maintaining an in-depth understanding of Foregale’s products.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a sales or operations role (ideally within the construction or building materials industry).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a focus on service.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and manage your time effectively.
  • Excellent IT skills to enable confident use of the bespoke in house Steelform and Opera systems after training, as well as a good understanding of general Microsoft systems such as Excel and Word.

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Specialising in roofing and cladding products, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, building strong relationships, and identifying new opportunities within the region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to increase market share and achieve revenue targets across the south of England.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the roofing and cladding sector, targeting contractors, architects, developers, and distributors.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical and project management, to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotations to potential clients.
  • Take ownership of the sales process.

WAREHOUSE MACHINE / YARD OPERATIVE - ROOFING & CLADDING DEPARTMENT (LIVERSEDGE SITE WF15)

  • This role includes working on modern sheet metal forming machinery including roll formers, folders, guillotines and press brakes amongst others, as well as undertaking general warehouse and yard duties which includes loading/unloading of customers/suppliers and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • Previous experience in the role would be preferable though not essential.
  • The successful candidate would need to be motivated, eager to learn and be a team player!
  • Good time keeping is an absolute must!
  • An FLT counter balance license is required.
  • Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
